Are there any restrictions for how I use the voice-generated sound files?
No, all the voices that you download can be used for any purposes—public, commercial, corporate, etc.
How many voices and languages?
It is always growing. Currently it is over 500 voices and 70 languages.
What are the languages I can use?
We support more than 70 languages. You can find full list in "Try Me" page.
How do I turn the auto-renew off or cancel my subscription?
You only need to cancel if you have subscribed to a monthly recurring membership. To turn the auto-renew setting off, please select ‘Cancel Subscription’ from your account’s Billing Settings. After you cancel, paid service will continue until the end of the current billing period without renewal.
Are there any restrictions for how I use the generated voice files?
No. All the voices that are available to use for any commercial redistribution purposes.
Do I have to pay a redistribution fee to continue to use content I created after my subscription ends?
No. You may continue to use any generated files and content that was created while your account was active even after your subscription ends. There are no additional fees or requirements for their continued use.
How can I order a subscription? What payment methods are available?
You can purchase a subscription in members area by upgrading. We partner with Stripe to provide secure invoicing and payments processing. We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express payments, debit or credit.
We also accept PayPal for subscription services.
What is Text-to-Speech?
Text-to-speech (TTS) is a type of assistive technology that reads digital text aloud.
How does SpeechAS TTS work?
TTS is short for Text-to-Speech. It is an efficient tool. You only need to type, and then a voice file will be generated automatically. There are two types of voice: standard and neural. Standard voice is heard something like a robot, but neural is like a real person.

Can you make me my own customized voice?
Sorry no, we do not manufacture the text-to-speech voices, just the software and applications that utilize this kind of technology.
What format does SpeechAS let me download?
Audio can be dowloaded as MP3.
What systems support SpeechAS?
As a web application, you can login to use it from both Windows, Mac, Linux computers and all mobile devices. The application may not work as intended if using an outdated browser so please be sure that you're using the latest version of Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari.
I'm worried about security. Are the contents of my projects secure?
Yes! SpeechAS only keeps files locally and for your own usage. The text is sent to our servers only for the conversion process. You can delete the text and voice file after you download anytime. Nothing is kept on a permanent basis. We monitor conversion activity, not content, for security reasons and to make sure the system is working correctly and efficiently.
We also do not sell or compromise your information to other marketers--never have and never will! The applications are also GDPR compliant. You can read more about our privacy policy.

Yes, we do offer API. Please see upgrade options for the plans with API.
